It also includes personal essays by founder Beau Bledsoe and a foreword by longtime journalist and author Steve Paul\, who situates Ensemble Ibérica in a broader cultural landscape of discovery\, wonder\, and connection. Born in Flint\, Michigan\, he began shooting at age 11 and honed his craft through early newspaper internships. After earning a Bachelor of Journalism in photojournalism from the University of Missouri\, he worked at several regional newspapers\, including The Kansas City Star\, where he contributed to Pulitzer-winning coverage of the Hyatt Hotel skywalk collapse. Recently inducted into the Missouri Photojournalism Hall of Fame\, Dan has photographed subjects worldwide—from Indigenous Australians to Kansas City jazz musicians—capturing portraits with sensitivity\, respect\, and a mastery of composition and light.
