Nicki White
Nicki White is a Kansas City–based singer-songwriter and genre-experimental artist whose music moves fluidly between soul, pop, country, blues, and meditative sound. Rooted in both songwriting and sonic exploration, her work embraces emotional honesty, raw texture, and the beauty of imperfection.
Her upcoming album, Shadow Work in the Omnipresence of the Divine, is a deeply personal, home-recorded body of work that leans into stillness, reflection, and inner listening. Blending poetic vocals with guitar, subtle natural elements, singing bowls, chimes, wind, flute, handmade instruments—including a handmade didgeridoo— and more. The album creates an immersive soundscape that feels both intimate and expansive. Handmade instruments and select natural elements on the record were created with the help of Allan Winkler, contributing to the album’s organic and exploratory tone.
Rather than polishing away flaws, Nicki allows breath, texture, and imperfection to remain, creating music that feels lived-in and present. Her songs invite listeners into a slower, more intentional space—one rooted in healing, reflection, and connection to both self and the natural world.
